Hi, I am a descendant of the Jacob Adams you mention. He left his will in Patrick County in 1807.He named all his children:Jacob; Peter; Mary; Lydia; Elizabeth; Rebecca; Sarah; William; Isaac. The executors of his estate were Charles Foster and John Turner (both of whom are my relatives).Witnesses were: James Cox, Thomas Hill and Daniel McAntire(McEntire?) Peter married Ann Tittle (my direct ancestors) Mary married 1) Christopher Cooper 2) Richard Hancock Lydia married Adam Tittle Susan Elizabeth married Zachariah Keaton Rebecca married James Hollandsworth Sarah "Sally" married Cornelius Keaton Jacob, Jr. married unknown, but he had a son named Abraham. Abraham had a daughter named Hannah, born June 22, 1817 (according to my records).Abraham's wife was Nancy Unknown.
Jacob, Sr.'s wife was Mary, maiden name unknown. These Adamses left Virginia and traveled through Tennessee with the Tittles and Hales--among other families.I descend through the Adams, Tittle, and Hale lines. These families were all big into the Primitive Baptist religion. As for the Isaac you mention, I have a strong suspicion that he was Jacob, Sr.'s, brother.
Now I have a question for you.I see that you have done research on Rachel Donelson.Do you know much about the Donelson family as a whole?.Some researchers feel that my Hale family might have a connection with them.I'm just checking that out.
