I am looking for information on Lonzy Adams born about 1897, who married Elizabeth Miles born about 1903, they were married about 1919.In 1920 they lived in Moore County Tennessee.Elizabeth's brother Sam (Samuel) Jones Miles and his wife Annie (Nannie?) lived with them as well.In the 1930 Census they are listed as living in Coffee County, Tullahoma Tennessee and had two children.Their children were Mildred Adams age 8 and Woodrow Adams age 5.Elizabeth's brother Sam died late in 1930.It is probable that Elizabeth and Lonzy may have raised two of Sam's children, George Miles and Dorothy Miles.
I found a Lonzy L. Adams in the National Cemetery listings, born 1897, died 1968. Buried next to Lonzy is a Dorothy E. Adams, born 1903, died 1992.This is the birth year for Elizabeth Miles. All of my research (so far only census records from 1910/1920/1930) list Elizabeth Miles, not Dorothy Miles. So I am not 100% certain these are the correct Adams. Both were listed as Davidson County, Tennessee as their residence at time of death.
I am trying to confirm if the Adams buried in Nashville are in fact the correct ones.I would like to learn more about Lonzy Adams. If this is the correct Lonzy Adams he is listed asPFC in the Army during WWI and enlisted the day before we declared war on Germany.I hope to find out more about him.I am also trying to find out more about their two children, and their Niece and Nephew that they may have raised.
Lonzy Adams does not seem to be a common name.Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
