Hi Sharon,Do you know who Catherine Henderson's parents were?
My GGG Grandparents were George Henderson & Nancy Taylor
Living in New Castle, NB. in 1825 at the time of the big fire. There son, John Henderson m. Sarah Diamond on 24 Dec. 1830, Addington Parish, Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada. They were my GG Grandparents.Their daughter, Ellen Henderson m. John Connors. My G Grandparents.
John Henderson and Sarah Diamond moved to Allagash, Maine in the 1850 because of the lumbering. Some of their children were born in Campbellton,NB. and some in Maine.
John Connors was the son of David Connors(1795-1879) and Mary Nelson,(1805-1870). They are buried at the Old Athol House Cemetery in Atholvill, NB..They had lived before in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, moving to Campbellton abt. 1839-40.
Just wondering if you ever saw these people in your search or if Catherine may of been connected to George Henderson. John Henderson was born 1800, so I assume George would of been born abt 1775.. According to family stories George and Nancy were born in Inverness, Scotland.I saw once in an old newspaper, of a Ann Henderson 90 died and was wife of George Henderson.. Maybe this could of been My Nancy (Ann) I have been searching for..
Also wonder about Barbara Benvay Nelson who was married Thomas William Adams.. If she and Mary Nelson may of been sisters?I am quite sure that Mary Nelsons parents were: Lucilla Weatherbie(Weatherby) and Robert Nelson, He is buried in Charlotetown, PEI and she is buried in Cornwall, PEI.Thanks,Sincerely, Carol Pelletier, St. Francis, ME.
