Raymond Packer Adams, 92, June 11, 1919 to December 11, 2011 passed away peacefully in his home in Yuba City.
Raymond was born and raised in Idaho. He served overseas in the military in WW II as an officer in the Army Corp of Engineers.
He received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Utah State, Logan, Utah and moved his family to Yuba City in 1956, residing there for more than 55 years, working for Cal-Trans for more than 30 years.
He was one of 9 children and the beloved husband of Ida Erma Adams for over 39 years.
'Papa' will forever be loved and remembered by his two sons Bruce Adams (Susan) of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Brent Adams (Denice) of Los Angeles; CA.; three daughters, Ida Niederhauser (Max) of Providence, Utah, Eula Deakin of Tremonton, Utah and Terri Gibbons (Junius) of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters, Elvira Jeffs of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Norma Furniss of Moreland, Idaho and Donna Springer of Cambden, New Jersey; 20 grandchildren and more than 35 great-grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to
He loved being with his family and friends, traveling and sharing his garden.
Raymond touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a service on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints located 1470 Butte House Rd, Yuba City, CA. Bishop David Grimes will officiate at the services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holycross Memorial. Interment will be in Logan, Utah.
