Amos Adams b 9/1/1728 son of Henry Adams
I hope I get someone's attention with this.I noticed a lot of postings on Amos Adams. This is my first look at this Family as only recently received this:Amos was seventh minister of the First Congregational Church of Roxbury, Mass.Eldest son of Henry and Jemima (Morse) Adams.Henry was a Selectman and distant cousin of Samuel Adams and John Adams, the President.Amos was a member of the Class of 1752 of Harvard University. He Married Elizabeth, daughter of Deacon Henry and Elizabeth (Rand) Prentice on 10-18-1753.Amos and Elizabeth had seven children; the oldest son died by being accidentally scalded in the overturning of a vellel of boiling liquor.I don't think that this was drinking liquor but rather the terminology for any liquid.Other children were:Henry, Thomas and Elizabeth who married John Bullard. That is my line.Amos had a very distinguished career as a minister. He died at Dorchester on 10/5/1775 and buried at the Roxbury Parish Tomb. The newspapers, in spite of the war news, carried long and glowing obituaries.Who out there can add to this.Does anyone know the exact link of Amos to the Sam (signer of the Declaration of Independance) and John Adams Family.
