We may have some mixed information about two different people. Also Martha V from the census may have been Martin Van Buren, do not trust census takers, and the 1850 census had numerous problems.
My Frank, Francis M. Adams married Rebecca Haymes. He may or may not have been the same Francis M. Adams who married earlier to I have pasted in some information here that I got from someone else:
HAYMES/ADAMS Here is what I have on Frank Adams and Rebecca J. Haymes.
FRANCIS M. (FRANK) ADAMS b. 24 Jan. 1832Montgomery Co., Tn. m. Mar. 20 Dec. 1860, Webster Co., Mo., to REBECCA J. (SIS) HAYMES, b. 22 Apr. 1844 in what is now Webster Co., Mo. d. 19 July 1924. I show they are both buried in the Adams Cemetery, Dallas Co., MO.
(NOTE: LDS records indicate this marr1age recorded in Webster Co., Mo. LDS Batch 8229905, Sheet 38, Library Call #984905 indicates this marriage occurred in HENRY COUNTY, TENNESSEE..I have always doubted this, although there were HAYMES from the same common ancestor who settled in Henry Co., Tennessee.
I show Frank Adams parents to be PHILIP ADAMS and REBECCA (NANNY?) __________(surname unknown), and that his mother was born about 1820 in Virginia.(1820 was about the time the HAYMES family moved to McMinn Co.,Tennessee.
REBECCA J. (SIS) HAYMES, was the daughter of WILLIAM (BUCK) HAYMES and REBECCA ZIEGLER.
I do show that FRANK ADAMS had been married previously on 20 Dec. 1855 to EMILY A. SIMMONS.
But was this the same person? Your addition marriage later would not have been the same person since he was married to Rebecca Haymes and lived in Missouri by 1860.
