Oops, sorry.Marriage Bond was made in Wilkes County, North Carolina. The reason I think this may be a son of John Hobbs Adams Sr is because he is known to have had a son named Jesse born about 1770.The marriage with Nancy Lovelace would correspond best with him. However, there were many Jesse Adamses in Wilkes County of this time period as they tended to have large families and use the same first names over and over.
John Hobbs Adams Sr (Old John of Kentucky), his children, and his grandchildren migrated en masse to several states including Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri.
If you do a forum search here for "John Hobbs Adams" you will find a multitude of posts on the subject.
I have no information on the possible children of Jesse and Nancy.I have not seen anything that would indicate a relation to either of the two Adams Presidents.Family rumors of connections to famous people and Native American tribes are the geneological equivalent of urban legends.:)
