Children of Henry3, (1663) [6] (Ens. Edward2, Henry1) and
Patience (Ellis) Adams; res, Medfield, Mass.
26. i. David’, b. in Nedfield, Nass., Sept. 3, 1692;
m. (1) June 17, 1718, Katharine Adams, dau. of Samuel" and Nary
Adams, b. Nay 27, 1695, d. 2 Aug., 1733, age 38.
m. (2) Nov. 5, 1749, Sarah Proctor; no issue. David-’ and wife
Sarah (by her mark) receipted May 27, 1754, for a portion of the
estate of his 1st wife’s sister, Margaret. his sons Samuel and David
being executors.
He was a wealthy farmer in Canterbury, Conn. ; made his will
June 17, 1753; proved Sept. 17, 1753; inventory made Nov. 8, 1753;
d. 29 Aug., 1753.
ii. Hannah’, b. in Nedfield, Feb. 21, 1693-4; m. April 12, 1722, Abraham
Burnap.

27. iii. Solomon, b. in Providence, R. I., April 23, 1699; m. Abigail Monroe,
d. 17 Sept., 1784; res. Canterbury, Conn. He d. in Canterbury, 20
Nov. 1778.
iv. Henry, Jr., b. in Providence, Oct. 14, 1700.
Newton, Nass., records say that Henry of Canterbury m. Oct. 28,
1735, Hannah Hyde; the first death recorded in Canterbury Separatist
Church was Hannah, wife of Henry, who d. 20 March, 1748.
Both Henry, Sen., and Henry, Jr., received full shares in the
land division to first settlers in 1723. Henry, Jr., probably d. in
Canterbury, 30 May, 1763. No children found.
v. Ruth, b. in Providence, April 10, 1702; m. Jan. 12, 1723, Amos
Kingsley of Windham, Conn., b. Jan. 18, 1696, d. 23 April, 1787.
28. vi. Ebenezer, b. in Providence, Feb. 11, 1704; m. Oct. 11, 1744, Elizabeth
Sears. He settled in Becket, Mass.
vii. Patience (twin), b. in Providence, Feb. 11, 1704; named in her father’s
will.
29. viii. Joseph: b. in Providence, July 28, 1796: m. 1738, Miriam Cleveland,
b. Jan. 30, 1719-9, d, in New Marlboro, Mass., 18 June, 1766; Miriam
was dau. of Moses and Mary (Johnson) Cleveland; Mary Johnson,
dau. of Obadiah of Canterbury, Conn
Joseph settled in New Marlboro, Berkshire Co.. Mass.; was
one of the five persons who formed the first church in that place. in
Oct., 1744; d. there, Oct., 1769.
