I would like to ask you then, are you saying that you firmly believe that that the early Adcock "boys" in Georgia descend from Thomas Adcock who left Essex Co. Va. in the late 1600's? Would this then include the Thomas Adcock who fought out of Georgia in the Rev War who then went To Baldwin County, Mississippi Territory in 1806, the one who along with his wife were killed in the Battle at Fort Mims?
He was my GGGG grandfather and I've not been able to connect him with any of the Va, NC, SC, or Tenn Adcock families. Though as I mentioned in an earlier post, he was living next to his brother James Adcock and they sold their land which was bordered by a John Adcock. It is this John Adcock I believe that was a son of Edmond Adcock. I have wondered for sometime if maybe Thomas was a brother of Edmond, though I believe that he was not, as there was no mention of a Thomas Adcock in Joseph Adcock's will.
Thomas Adcock's children were John, Elizabeth, Sarah, Lewis, and Reuben Adcock. His wife is not known, at least by me. None of Thomas Adcock's children were at Fort Mims on the day it was attacked.
I would certainly like to hear from you again, if you have a theory or a belief in my Thomas Adcock being from the Thomas Adcock from Essex Co, Va.
