Trying to chase down threads. On the 1870 Census, Hickman County, Tennessee, there is a child, J. B. Adcock, b. 1867 in Tennessee, living in the J.S. Worley family (civil district 2), listed after J.S.'s mother, Eliza, followed by B.G. Worley (whom I believe is the grandmother, Rachel Worley).
On the 1880 Census, a boy, John B. ??? is listed with Eliza's family following her youngest daughter, L.E.The transcribers for Ancestry.com have the the boy's name as John B. Carne, but it isn't really legible from the photocopy. The age listed matches with J.B. Adcock, so I'm wondering if this is the same child.
If any of this rings a bell with family stories, please let me know.Any information would be of great interest.
