Yes St. Mark's Church is still there. The information that I gave you is from a photocopy of a church pamphlet, probably printed in the 1960's as information for interested visitors to the site. It contains a list of all of the Rectors of the parish and when they served, as well as historic information (with dates) for construction and renovations of various components of the building. Also 'Notes about the Church and Churchyard'. There is a picture of the church on the front of this pamphlet but the photocopy is rather dark so you can't see a lot of detail.
I was born Linda May Addison and am descended
from Robert Addison, the nephew of Rev. Robert (a younger son of Rev. Robert's older brother).
If you are descended from Rev. Robt., then you must be related through one of his daughters, either Mary who married John A. Stevenson (the one who stayed in Canada) or Elizabeth who married George Connolly (who we beleive went to India).
I have additional information on Rev. Rbt., some are copies of very old newspaper articles and yes he did attend Cambridge. The older son (my ancestor) got the family home, the younger son (Rev. Robt.) got an education. Do you know the family gossip about the Rev. and his wife? Please email me if you would like to explore this further.
My brother may also have some photos of the church and additional information.
Do you live in Canada?
Linda Addison Turner
