Dave,
my gggreatgrandmother Mary aged 23 and her husband Archibald Adgey aged 19 (both originally from Antrim)
sailed from Liverpool, on the ship "Bourneuf" ,to Australia in 1851/2. A child (also named Archibald) b April 10th 1853 to Archibald and Mary was baptized May 2nd 1853 in Geelong Victoria. Both Archibald and the child died in 1853 and Mary married again in 1854 to William Rogers. On her marriage to William she states that she is a spinster. No mention of a previous marriage at all. Her maiden name is recorded as Adgery. (Shipping and other papers have Adgey).I have been trying to trace this line of the family for years and have all but given up. The various papers I have do not paint a clear picture at all. It is all very confusing! If you are interested at all in what I have so far, or if you have any ideas on where I can go from here I will be glad to hear from you.
