Dear Sabre: I wish that I had some information regarding Thomas Adkins; but I have very little. He is buried in one of my family's burial lots in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia USA. The only information that I do have is that he was disenterred from the old Colonial Cemetery, which is in the historic downtown section of Savannah, and he was reburied in the Laurel Grove Cemetery which opened around 1849.He died or was initially buried on November 2, 1816 and at that time he was 25 years old, making his birth year circa1791. I have not had any luck locating any additional information. The families that I am tracing back from their time in Savannah go back to South Carolina and then to Virginia, spanning a period of time from 1836 in Savannah, 1812 in the Old Barnwell District, S. C. and prior to that I feel that they will go back to Virginia. This is the Rice Family that I am tracing, and how or where Thomas Adkins fits in, if indeed he does, to the Rice Family I do not know. I wish that I had more information.Thank you. Sincerely, Carole H. Melson, Marietta, Georgia USA.
