Some messeges I have recieved concerning Holton , Adkins and their ChildrenJust sending them on so everyone canresearch and hopefully pass on any info that they can document .This all leads hopefully to finding all our ancestors . I realize that these people did not have the rights as if they were of true blood (What ever that is )and to be honest I think most of our ancestors were kept in the Closets for one reason or the other . My Mother seemed to resent my researching , and told me that if I keep digging I may find somethings I did'nt want to find . However this is not the way I feel about it .It is my understanding that the Native Americans did not seem to be against the African American or the English or anyone when it came to the races , and it stands to reason that they would mix .Anyway hopefully I can copy and paste and these are just messeges that I have recieved .I would appreciate anything to help me find my ancestors and would like to be able to help anyone that is seeking theirs . Linda,
The Holton Children went to court to be able to be consider White 1836 in cabell County They won,and was granted to be listed as white because there father was English but, there mother was of Indian blood.
