Very happy to see you on here. I have some pictures of Winchester Adkins/Atkins. While a young man, he was quite an accomplished fiddler. He played on the Grand Ole Opry at least once. Several years ago, I spoke with Oscar Tom Atkins on the phone. Very nice gentleman. I have been busy researching this family for some time. Winchester's father, Cain Adkins, was many things -- a fiddler, as well as a justice of the peace, United Baptist preacher, and country doctor. He lived on the West Fork of Harts Creek for many years until a feud with the Brumfield family forced him to return to Wayne County. I have a lot of questions. Very interesting people.
