My name is Harold Alexander Weinbaum III. My roots include the Adkison family and I was wondering about the family tree.
I use to go to the Family get togethers in Samson some years ago and there were a couple of young women who had binders of family information, Where and who are you?
I came about a box of great pictures and documents from my father who is Jr. His 1935 Baby book included many names that I have been trying to find out about.
His mother was Pauline Adkinson, daughter of Isaac and Lydia Ann Cruise Adkinson. Now I have noticed that in this book the Adkison name has the "n" added.I am not sure who filled out the book but when was the "n" added to the name.
Which is correct Adkinson or Adkison? Are they the same family? Where did they come from? How did they end up in Alabama?
As a child I did visit Lydia with my father in Samson Alabama and I have pictures of her and good memories of her being so kind to me.
Does anybody have information from Lydia Adkinson's family the Cruise's? I also see Johnston's and Stokes.
Civil War Family veterans? I see where Daniel Ingram Britton Adkinson or Adkison was in the Civil War. Does anybody have Documents of his service? Are there anymore that served?
Names I have in the book are.... from my fathers mother Harold Alexander Weinbaum Jr. Son Pauline Adkinson Mother Isaac Newton Adkinson Grandfather Lydia Ann Cruise Adkinson Grandmother Daniel Ingram Britton Adkinson Great Grandfather Martha Stokes AdkinsonGreat Grandmother Marcus L.D. CruiseGreat Grandfather Arenia Johnston CruiseGreat Grandmother
If anyone is interested in sharing info that would be great.
