Christina, according to Tappan Adney's records, there was a William Perry Adney, born in Ohio on June 27, 1834, died probably in Wisconsin on July 3, 1873. He had a son, Oliver Perry Samuel Adney born after 1858, living in 1902 in Muskoda, Wisconsin. These Wisconsin Adneys lived in the Crawford County area, across the river from Iowa, in which other Adneys lived. William Perry Adney's father was William Adney (1802-1875), founder of the Wisconsin branch of the family, and son of John Adney of Ohio, son of the original Thomas Adney. William Perry Adney is the only Adney I know of having the name "Perry" who could have been listed in the 1850 census. You might check the message board for Crawford County at http://users.rootsweb.com/~wicrawfo/howtoqry.htmhttp://users.rootsweb.com/~wicrawfo/howtoqry.htm for further information.
From your information, however, "Adney Perry" would have been born in 1820 if he was 30 years old in 1850. So this information may not help.
