I would love to know more! Agers
I am the Daughter of an Agers but don't have much on my heritage. My grandfather's name was Cecil Agers which all I know and that he and his family came from Dublin, Ireland and moved to Kentucky. My mother said that she heard that their name was Eagers but it was changed when the family moved. She said she wasn't for sure though. My grandmother's name was Ruth Agers (maiden name, Sherfy) but I found out later that her name was also changed from Sherfig to Sherfy(Germany).
I am frustrated that I don't know more than that. Both my grandparents are deceased so I have no way of finding out my heritage. I know that my family did leave Ireland during the potato famine but besides that, I am blank. I know I don't have much to go on but if anyone has info, please, please let me know. Thank you.
