My g-g-grandfather was John Agnor (Agner) of Abbeville, SC who was married to Mariah Morris, daughter of Samuel Morris and Lucy Stevens of Abbeville/Long Canes/Hard Labor Creek area. John and Mariah had four children--Samuel Morris, Mary (Polly), Lucy Stevens and John Agner. John and Mariah both died in 1828, leaving their four children as orphans and raised by their mother's half-brother, Samuel Morris, Esq. of Abbeville area. John Agner (Jr.) and his other siblings lived in the Abbeville/Edgefield/McCormick County area for many years. Samuel Morris Agner and his family moved to Florida. The Agners have frequently been listed as AGNEW. There are several AGNEWs listed in the same area of Florida and buried in the same cemetery in Florida as Samuel Morris Agner and hisfamily. What is the connection? Are the Agners and Agnews related? Are the Agners descendents of Samuel Agnew and Elizabeth Seaborn? PLEASE help!!! My brick wall is who John Agnor/Agner, died in 1828, is descended from.
