Margaret Agnew, widow Alex.Adair c.1690
A notation in the Adair family records reads:
"Shortly before 1690 Sir Robert Adair (b.1659) disposed of what remained of his Galloway estates to Lord Stair (Dalrymple-Montgomery ?), reserving for her life interest in her jointure to Margaret Agnew Adair, his uncle's widow, that of Kinhilt and Dromore."
As Sir Robert Adair's father died in 1661 when Sir Robert was 2 years old, then his uncle Alexander Adair bc 1627 and his wife Margaret Adair nee Agnew may have been guardians of their nephew.
Trying to ascertain the parents of Margaret Agnew bc 1633, and the marriage and children of Alexander and Margaret Adair (nee Agnew).
Margaret Adair may have been from Gald-enoch, Glenluce.
Alexander & Robert's sister, Jean, married her cousin Rev. Patrick Adair from Enoch.
