To whom it may concern reguarding this post. The 1910 nor 1900 census for El Cerrito have no records of any Aguilars in the village. This does not mean an Aguilar family did not migrate into village for probable work purposes (?). Also the anyone who died in the village before 1920 was more than likely buried in the Church cemetery if they had long village connections. However many were buried upstream in the village of Villanueva. Now the cemetery up on the hill is accessible and is the second oldest cemetery for the village. My Great-Grandmother, Maria de la Cruz (Vigil) de Tapia was the first to be buried there in 1938. Good luck on your quest. [email protected]
