HI, James Aikin was born in Lauderdale County Tn Mar 6, 1898. He was separated from family at a very young age but remembered his Dad, James Henry Akins (his spelling)and sister Susan. Older people in the community remembered the family and thought parents died in a flu epidemic early 1900's. The census of 1900 lists the family in the correct community with the correct neighbors and spelled the name "Aikin".
