J. C. Ainsworth, Butler Co. AL in 1860
Folks,
Hoping someone will recognize these folks and tell me more about them:
In 1860 census, Butler Co., AL, there is family headed by J. C. Ainsworth, age 31, wife listed only as initial A., age 30, and two sons, J. C. C., age 4, and intial F., age 4 months.
Living next door are more initials:
B. Ainsworth, male age 20 with female J. A., age 16.
I believe that the son, J. C. C., is the J. C. Ainsworth found in Starlington, Butler Co., AL in 1880 with new wife, Francis L., and Jessie C. Ainsworth with wife (since 1882), Samantha in Geneva Co., AL in 1900 and 1920.Jessie is dead before 1930, and Samantha is living with her married daughter, Beulah Cordelia Pridgen, in Geneva Co., AL in 1930.
The son F. Ainsworth, 4 months old in 1860 is living near J. C. in Starlington in 1880, wife M. E., and by 1900 is listed as F. L. Ainsworth with wife, "Mandy", and also living in Geneva Co. not far from brother, Jessie.Cannot locate him after 1900.
Very interested in knowing the full names that go with all these intials and who the parents are of the senior J. C. All report their birthplaces as Alabama, but can't seem to find the right family for them in 1850, or find them again in 1870.(Where was Starlington in 1870??)
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!
Brenda Hawkins
