While researching the Aird - Ross connections in Scotland we found the following entries in the Register House in Edinburgh:
From the General Registry Office in Edinborough,OPR 91/1 Parochial Registers, Co. of Inverness, Ardersier, B1719-1819, M1740-1819

William, son to Don'd Ross, Farmer, Strathrusdale & Janet Aird his wife, was born 26th & baptised 30th Oct'r 1816
Roderick, son to Donald Ross, Farmer Ardross and Catherine Ross his wife was born on the 12th Oct'r and baptised on 15 Instant.
11th April 1788:Then were married John Ross and Janet Chisholm both in this parish
2th June 1805: Then were contracted in order to marry Donald Ross and Janet Aird both in this parish.
1820 Ross & Aird:Alexander, son to Donald Ross, tenant at Ardross or Tolly, and Janet Aird his wife was born on the 11th and baptised on the 14th day of July.
1822 Ross & Aird: Margaret, daughter to Donald Ross, farmer Toly & Janet Aird his wife was born 23 and baptised 25 Dec.
Births Ross & Aird: John, son to Donald Ross and Janet Aird at Tomatine born the 18th April 1806.
James, son to Donald Ross, tenant at Strathrusdale and Janet Aird was born the 17th June 1811.
Duncan, lawful son to Donald Ross, Tenant at Strathrusdale and Janet Aird, was born the 1st Oct 1813
William, son to Don'd Ross, farmer Strathrusdale & Janet Aird his wife, was born 26th & baptised 30th Oct 1816.
To date we have not been able to make further connections.These two (Donald Ross & Janet Aird) were my husbands g4-grandparents, and most of family moved to Canada in late 1700's or early 1800's.Son William became senior Judge in Carleton County, Ontario, residing in Ottawa.
