Leonard, I have not yet sent my Akers booklet to the printer but I will print it from my computer and also photocopy the article on the Origin of William Akers of Franklin Co., Va. that was published a few years ago. Send a check for #25 which will include mailing costs to Dr. Henry B. Brackin Jr. 137 Prospect Hill Nashville, Tn. 37205
Incidentally. I am a cousin of Reed Akers who wrote Our "Our Kinsfolk". He and I corresponded before his death and he was aware by then that the descent from William Akers of New Jersey was incorrect. I have 2 copies of his book, mine and my mother's who is now deceased.
My booklet has your David Akers, son of Valentine with an estimated birth of about 1800. His son Levi is not in the booklet asDavid's children were taken from the 1850 census of Floyd Co. and I assume Levi had left home by then. I have David as having married twice, to Elizabeth Collins and Mary Marshall. Is this correct?
