I am an antiques dealer and collector and today purchased a very interesting original document. It is entitled, "A Roll of Captain Nathanial Giddinge, Junior Company in the fourth Regiment of Militia in New Hampshire Commanded by Col. James Hill March 1st 1786".The full transcription of names is below but this post relates to one of the names - Joseph Akers, Jr. who is listed as a private.
I am hoping someone can give me more information about these soldiers and this regiment as I don't even know where in New Hampshire they were formed.I am glad to offer a scan to any interested party for as long as I have the item in my possession. Please e-mail me directly at Joy@JustaJoy.com and thanks for any help. Joy
