Stephen Akes

I am looking for information on a Jacob Mealman that was living in the Stephen Akes household in 1850 Jefferson co, Iowa. Stephen's wife was Emeline and had the following children, Jane, Leeta[?], Elenor, Ann and Dora[?]. I would like to know if Jacob is related to this family.
