Re: Akester/Akister,Lindale,Cumbria

I was very interested to see you lived in Canada as my uncle was contacted several years ago by a Canadian called Paul Mitchell who was researching his mothers maiden name, being Akister. He lived in Ontario and I have managed to link his tree into mine. He was decended from a John Akister and Anne Clark Farrow, John being the son of Aaron whom I mentioned in my last note. They had three children, Mary, James and Agnes who after the death of their father John in 1843 emigrated to Canada with their step-father Daniel Storey in 1850. Do you recognise any of this?
In response to your other points, by the 1730's my branch of the family had moved over to Windermere in Cumbria from Sedbergh. The connection with Aberford dates back to the 1600's with John Akister and Mary Broune, Miles Akester and William Akester and Elizabeth Shelleto. Again do you have any connections with this?
I do not have any Robert Akisters in my tree around this time although I do have a Robert Hick Marrying Elizabeth Akister in Aberford in 1683.
