Jackie, Thank you for replying to my query. I know that Nancy Eakin/Akin was buried at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cem. in Clover, York Co., SC. She was only 18 yrs. old when she died, 06 Jul 1798. Her son, Hiram Howe, was born 12 May 1798, Nancy must have lived barely two months from the time of Hiram's birth. I have tried to figure out if Hiram named any of his children after his father. He named his first child, a son, Alexander Eakin Howe. That child only lived about 3 yrs. He named his other sons Francis Marion Howe, William Thomas Howe, David Rucker Tinsley Howe, and Jasper Newton Howe. I am wondering about the William Thomas name. Hiram Howe married Martha "Patsey" Gammon, daughter of Willis Gammon and Rebecca Willis. So, some of the sons' names could be from one of their families. I assume the Howe who married Nancy Eakin/Akin probably married a 2nd wife at some point after Nancy's death. But, I still have found nothing about which of the Howes married Nancy. He had to be connected to Joseph Howe who migrated to York Co. SC from Cumberland Co., PA.
