Drops dead as he enters home
Adolph Norman aged 63 years came home down town yesterday afternoon, bought a pair of shoes and returned to his home at 204 Martin Street. A few minutes later he was dead, having fallen stricken with heart disease.
As Norman who was employed as night watchman by the Rock island railroad here, had been attended regularly by a physician for the trouble ultimately caused his death, no inquest will be ordered by coroner W. B. Elliot.
The dead man is a brother of O. W. Gustafson overseer of the poor. Besides his widdow, Mr Norman is survived by two brothers a sister, three sons and five daughters. The sons are Clarence, herbert and Elmer, all of this city, while the daughters are Mrs Joseph Reichel El paso Illinois; Mrs F. X. Carroll, Minneapolis Minnesota; Mrs John E Manning, Mrs E. W. Wyatt and Mrs R. E. Akin of Peoria. The sister is Mrs Nels Johnson of Chicago and the brothers besides Mr Gustafson are Oscar and Victor Gustafson of this city.
There is a Mrs R.E. Akin mentioned in the obit Do you know anything about her. Her maiden name was Norman Maybe it´s mary/Marie or Viola. Her father Adolph C Norman was born in Sweden 1856-05-24 and he emmigrated in 1883 I hope for good luck Stefan
