Hi, James M. Akins may be buried in Arkansas, we just didn't know where he moved to. We placed several military markers in Carmel cemetery for the Akins men that had fought in the various wars (Revolutionary, 1812, and Civil War) and ordered one for James because we thought he might have been buried there with the rest of the family. I haven't worked on that part of the family tree for a long time and have forgotten most of what I knew about that side. I remember Melvina married David L. Rankin. The Rankins and the Akins were both Scotch-Irish Presbyterians. You have a cousin by the name of Theresa Rankin Kisor who lives in Piedmont, Alabama, near Spring Garden who would know more about the Rankin side than I do.
