Hello, Ashley. From an online Social Security Death Index, I found that your grandfather's Soc Sec # was 464-12-3267. He was born on June 11, 1920 and died on January 15, 1979 in Oakland, Alameda county, California. From the state of California, or from the Dept of Health in Alameda County, you can get a copy of his death certificate - it should have his parent's names. That way you can find out who your great-grandparents were.
If you can't find his parents name that way, you might just find him in the 1920 Census - IF it was taken after his date of birth in June. You can see microfilm copies of the census at a library, or a Federal office named NARA (National Archives and Records Admin).
I have easy access to the 1900 Census and looked for Alberson families. There was an Edward Alberson in Llano County, whose wife was Mina and sons were Charley, Edward and Ernest. Any of those 3 sons should be in the 1920 Census as heads of household, with families. Who knows, they might be Roscoe's parents.
The 1900 Census for Mason township, Mason county, has an H J Alberson, wife Ruth and sons Albert and Howard. They are also possible candidates to be Roscoe's parents.
Roscoe Lee sounds like the name of a famous movie star, Roscoe Lee Browne. That could be another clue; I don't know how common "Roscoe Lee" is.
