I am thinking that the Jacob Albright you are referring to was a preacher that founded the Evangelical Association and is the son of Johannis and Anna Albrecht (John Albright). If this is the same Jacob, then what information I have in my family's archives may prove very interesting to you....
My archives indicate that he married Catherine Cope in 1785 and lived on a farm in West Cocalico Township *east of Ephrata, PA* and engaged in the enterprise of tile making.
If what you posted is also accurate, then it might explain a mystery that we have encountered. It is documented that Jacob lost most of his children during an epidemic of dysentary in 1790 and he wondered if God was punishing him -- but I have no documentation as to why he felt that way.
Given the dates that you placed on your post, I suspect that we are talking about the same Jacob Albright and I also suspect that you are correct on his marriage to Elizabeth being a second marriage *if not his first?*. Funny thing is is that I do not have any records of any divorce or a marriage to Elizabeth -- but I will have to see what I can dig up on this one.I would be happy to send you a copy of everything that I have to assist you and share whatever I can find out.
