Jim, the James referred to was born in Ohio in 1838, he had a brother, Truman, the sons of John Simmon(d)s ALBRO,,,mother possibly Ruhama [Rebecca] BATES.The mother died young, possibly after the birth of a daughter.Their father remarried and had other children(one being my gt.grfather, John,b Ohio).Truman and James moved to New York in young adulthood, married and moved families to eastern Michigan where Truman lost 2 wives. He married a third time and moved with wife and son to California. We have names of Truman's children, born in Michigan, but I ahve only traced the son of last wife.He was named Truman and died in California as a teen.James moved his famaily to Kansas about 1883-85 where he and wife died and are buried in a small farm community in Jefferson co., KS.His son Clark(b 1878) married an Anna WRIGHT and later they moved to Iowa. One of Clark's sons was named George.
It seems that the ALBRO's of Michigan are related, but we have not traced how. My sister has done more extensive research on finding our elusive Albros.frances
