Thanks for those Bible records. William was a son of Benjamin Alday and was born in Burke County, Georgia. He went with his father Benjamin first to Wilkinson Co., Ga. and in the 1830's, to Butler County, AL. Because of the Second Creek Indian War in the 1830's, the family went back to Georgia and joined some of their kinfolk in what was then Baker County (now part of Mitchell County), Ga. William later moved over to Randolph Co., Ga. where he died in the 1850's. His wife Mary later moved across the river into Barbour County, AL. and died there after 1870.
