Karen,
The Joseph you referred to as a possible son of Perrin was
actually Josiah. The abbreviation of the name Josiah was
often in records mistakenly interpreted.Josiah was I
believe one of Perrin's sons.He married in Lunenburg Co.
in 1760, Ann Womack, daughter of Richard Womack III and
his wife Nancy Ann Childers. Josiah, the Womacks and the
Childers obtained Royal Land Grants in St. Georges Parish
in the Colony of Georgia in the 1760's.Josiah was a
Captain of the Colonial Militia there and you will find
him sometimes referred to as Joseph in early GA records.
The question of how many sons John Allday and Elizabeth
Perrin Allday had has not been determined but I am sure
that there were at least two....Perrin and John Allday Jr.
The next question is of course, of the next generation.
Was there mosre than one John Allday III? And were Josiah
and Thomas the sons of John or Perrin?
If you ever find a clue please let me know!
Ann
