Dear Rhonda, loved your posting! Several years ago I abstracted five of the documents from Suffolk County, Mass. Probate File #2276, Jacob Aldrich of Mendon, husbandman, intestate. The file is on microfilm at the Massachusetts Archives (and other places). Here's the scoop:
1. Distribution: homestead, housing and land to eldest son Jacob; dower to Huldah; Jacob pays to his brothers and sisters Abel, Seth, David, Peter, John, Moses, Huldah Wilkinson, Sarah and Rachel Aldrich, the sum of £11.1.2 being their single shares of 2/3 part of the estate plus money - 3 Nov 1698. 2. Huldah named admin (signed) Huldah Aldrich, Ferdinando Thayer, Thomas Thayer all of Mendon 14 Nov 1695 3. Order for appraisal 3 Nov 1698 4. Inventory. 14 Nov 1695 5. Jacob Aldrich posted bond 15 Jan 1707 to pay to the widow and children Abel, Seth, David, Peter, John, Moses, Huldah wife of Samuel Wilkinson, Sarah and Rachel.
So there you go, she was still a widow in 1707 and her daughter was the wife of Samuel Wilkinson!
