TURNER ALDRICH, NE>NY>MI, 1800s
Seeking info on TURNER ALDRICH, pioneer settler of Gowanda, Cattaraugus County, NY, c. 1810.Came from New England, bought 700 acres from Holland Land Company along Cattaraugus Creek, 32 miles south of Buffalo. Settlement known as Aldrich Mills from about 1818 to 1823, changed to Lodi, then to Gowanda in 1848.He may have moved to Michigan and died in Allegan County, MI.Had grandson Turner Stewart, born in Lodi around 1828.Is there an image of Turner Aldrich extant?Where is he buried?
