Levinia Alexander left a will dated 1810 in Mecklenburg Co., NC.I have her as the wife of Elijah Alexander, son of Elias, son of Andrew.Could this be her or is this a coindidence?:
Cumberland Co., PA:"STERRETT, JOHN, Antrim Township. May 1, 176228 July 1762. Wife. Children, viz., Alexander Sterrett, William Sterrett, Rachel Crosby, Sarah Steel, Mary Manson, Rebecca Alexander, Lavina Alexander, Mary Sterret dau. of Benjamin Sterret, a minor. Ex. son Alexander Sterrett. Wit: John Caldwell, Rebeca Leveston. A. 93". I found this on Worldconnect.
I also found a John Staret and a Josh. Alexander on the 1751 Tax List of Cumberland Co., PA in Antrim Township and Alex. Staret is in Peter Township. An E. Alexander is listed a "freemen" in Antrim Township.
Then I found this: 1750 - Frederick Co., MD:Nov. Court, Rees Price, plaintiff, vs Elias Alexander - Alexander Staret to appear in Nov. Court to testify for Alexander.Hugh Barnet and Joseph Chapline to testify for Price. From Rootsweb.com, freepages by Anne Livingston (thank you Anne!). I don't know if this is Elias Sr. or Jr. since Elias Sr.'s inventory was filed 11 Jan 1751.
Do you think this could be the same Levinia? If it is, who is the Rebecca Alexander in John Sterrett's will - who did she marry?
