Thanks for the great response Dennis.I'm actually a member of the Alexander surname DNA project.
It was really just speculation on my part that I'm a descendent of Hezekiah Julius.I have a strong belief that I'm a descendent of Hezekiah Alexander and Mary Sample, but I don't have the paper trail to even back that up.
My Alexander brick wall starts at my 2GG Harvey M. Alexander.I know he was born in 1850 in Tennessee, but I have no information on who his parents were.Hezekiah Julius and his wife Martha were living in Madison County in 1850, but Harvey doesn't show up in the 1850 or 1860 census.By 1869, he was married and he starts showing up on census records during 1870 and after.
There were multiple Alexander families living in Madison county in 1850, so its very possible that Harvey was born to another family, but no record was kept (or found) of it.
It didn't really help that the Henderson County, TN courthouse had two fires in the 1860s and the 1890s (the one in the 1890s destroyed a lot of records).
Harvey Alexander and his family lived in Henderson county for some time when he was alive.
