A bit more on the 1744 deed --
19 June 1744 - William Reynolds, "Salvata" Alford and Elizabethg, his wife , and others sold to John Spurlock of Goochland, land on the south side of the James River in Goochland and west side of John's Creek bounded by Stepen Hughes and Charle Railey, 30 acres part 300 acres granted William Reynolds, Elizabet Alford,and Mary Reynols by patent. Signed by William Reynols, Elizabeth Alford, Daniel Wilmore, Mary Woolmore (sic) and Mary Selvata (sic) A;ford. Recorded 19 June 1744.
This ;land would have been near Elk Island of the James .
