Obit: Omaha World-Herald Wed, October 17, 1923 page 3: Obit Mrs. Elizabeth EPPERSON Succumbs at Bellevue; Was Hale and Hearty Until Three Months Ago. Mrs. Elizabeth EPPERSON, who celebrated her 101st birthday anniversary last Friday, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.E. DOWNING, of Bellevue. She had resided with Mrs. DOWNING for the past fourteen years, having lived for thirty-five years prior to that in Esbon, Jewell Cty., Kansas. Mrs. EPPERSON had been hale and hearty until three months ago, her daughter said. She was born in Indiana October 12, 1822, removing later to Iowa and then to Kansas. She had been widowed twice. Besides Mrs. DOWNING, she is survived by three other daughters. They are Mrs. Mary WILLIAMS, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Ida BOYER, Colby, Kas,. and Mrs. Lizzie HAWLEY. Twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Brewer chapel, South Omaha, the Rev. C.C. WILSON officiating.
