Re: David William Allardice of 19 James St, Liverpool, & Ann Allardice

Not to do w. SHAND, but one Thomas McLaughlin b. c.1835 in Peru (older brother William who went to NZ, & sister Sara, born in Arequipa & Tacna (12.12.1830)respectively), who married an Annie Maugam/Maugham, had a daughter, Alice who married an Allardice in Chile. They had 2 sons who both died in WW2. These lads were the last of that particular (McLaughlin) line in Chile but there very well may be other Allardice descendants in Chile. I'm trying to get there and find out. The McLaughlin parents & their 3 children moved from Peru to Valparaiso about 1850. Sara married there in 1852. Her Scottish husband, David Thomas (b. 5.3.1818, Port Menteith, Perthshire), was a banker there. She died 1891, David in 1897.
