Cheryl, the William Allen from Franklin County, Ga. is one of the ones from Lancaster County, S.C. and the other one is the one I am searching for a grave. William of Jackson is not the same as William of Franklin. Now to make matters a little bit more interesting is there was a William in Elbert County, Ga.
The three had a large family and William of Jackson (died cir.1806) had four sons William,jr., Robert, Thomas and Beverly, none of them served in the war as far as I can determine. William, Jr. died about 1830 something and Thomas died later still.
Robert was in the Indian Wars of 1836 and moved to Chattooga Co.,GA. and Beverly moved to Forsyth County, Ga.
That James must be from the Franklin Co.,GA. William. I would love to make a connection.
