The Sarah Allen that married Nicholas Mosher: Nicholas was the brother of Jabez Mosher, the father of David Mosher who married Sylvia Allen, daughter of Ebenezer Allen of White Creek,NY.I assume then that the Ebenezer Allen of White Creek is the Ebenezer Allen, brother of George Allen(father of Weston Allen,UEL)
The Ebenezer Allen(b.abt 1738), I believe to be the brother of George Allen(b abt 1710). Possibly the Ebenezer that joined the british?? ,Wether this is him or not,A Ebenezer Allen(b.abt 1738 died 1823 in White Creek) married Sybil --(poss.Preston or Woodward). They had children: Hugh,Betsey, Mary, Rachel, Anna and Sylvia.Sylvia(b.1767) married David Mosher(b.1761 Quaker Hill,Pawling, s/o Jabez and Eliza(Preston)Mosher). David and Sylvia lived in Cambridge and White Creek, Washington Co.,NY for a few years, before moving to Portage,Livingston Co.,NY.There known children: David A., Jabez, Seneca, ad Josiah.
George's(b.abt 1710) sister Sarah(abt 1720) married 1749 in Dartmouth to Charles Slocum and she ended up in Canada as a UEL with her son Ebenezer Slocum.
Apparently several of the descedants of Ebenezer and Margaret Allen(of Dartmouth) were Loyalists.
The Following is from the Tompkins County GenWeb page.
The Weston Allen that died there in 1832(b.ca.1771) was living in Renssealear County in 1800. next to him in the census is a John Allen.LDS states that they were from Shaftsbury,VT(just over the NY border). LDS also shows his children as: Weston(b.1795),Ebenezer,Nathan,Elias,Maria, Oleana.I see that they have Weston,Jr.'s wife confused with Weston Sr.'s.In someplaces they show Weston married to Jemima Townley and others Jemima Wheeler. The Jemima Townley that married a Weston Allen was born in 28jul1799, d/o Richard and Polly(Lewis) Townley, of Lansing,NY. So we can be certian that Weston Sr.'s wife was Jemima Wheeler(b.07Dec1772-Shaftsbury,VT, d/o Nathan and Jemima Wheeler). Nathan Wheeler and his family are in Shaftsbury in 1790 and 1800, so I would assume that Weston and his fathers family must have been in the area at that time as well.
Was this Weston Allen, the Weston Jr. that si
