Allen was born March 26, 1782 and married Mary Barnes the daughter of Joseph Barnes, in Sumner County, Tennessee in 1804. He was a veteran of the War of 1812. he moved into Madison Co. Miss, the Southwest Territory before Alabama wa made a state. What is now known as Lauderdale Co., Ala. with Florence as the County seat. He had seven girls and four boys, who were considered early pioneers and went into all parts of this great nation. Three of the girlsand one boy went to Texas.
