Re: William M. Allen (b. 1-25-1812)

I have no date; I found a reference in my great grandmother's journal relating to her husband William's mother and father who were named William and Eliza Allen.My great grandmother Bertha was born in 1869 in Luzerne, IA.Which could put her father's birthdate in the 1830s and his father in the early 1800's.Our Allen family was located in the Belle Plaine, Blairstown, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City area.The court records of Benton County were destroyed in a fire in the 1920s.It was your reference to William M's death in Columbus City which lead me to contact you.It is not too far from the area.
