Re: William Allender ca 1845 Kentucky

I am trying to straighten a very crooked branch of my family tree and have a question about this chart. Am I reading this correctly in that James Jackson Allender and Mary Stout had a total of 20 children? I am a descendent of his and find it hard to believe that he had that many kids by 1 woman. Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.
