Arthur R. Allensworth

I am trying to locate information on a man by the name of Arthur R. Allensworth who served with my father in WW2 and was killed aboard the battleship South Dakota.He was from Nebraska and his father was a man by the name of Doyle Thomas Allesnworth who died in Phoenix Arizona in December 1980. Can anyone help with this
