Re: Alley's of VA, KY

The Alley names you gave are not familiar to me, but I have just started working on the VA Alleys.The infoI have is undocumented and from family history only.They refer to Henrico, VA and I am not clear if that will be Henrico County, VA or the town of Henrico which is south and near the border according to mapquest.What I do think is that that far back with that place name we will find some link between our famlies and be able to help each other.My address is lorca@charter.net if you prefer to reply directly.

Elizabeth Newman (1765- ) was born in Henrico and married Samuel Alley Sr. (1744-1836) in Henrico on 15 Sept 1779.They later show up in the land and estate records near Nashville in TN.

I have the father of Samuel Alley Sr. as Thomas Alley (1700/1702-1765) as born and died in Henrico.His wife was Francis Revis (1700-1771) also born in Henrico.Thomas Alley is my 5G grandfather.
